In a trend that has seen positive press from Germany, Australia and the United Kingdom, the popular Brazilian site Zigg recently featured OtherInbox as one of its favorite email services. Zigg, a site that primarily lists new and exciting downloads and web sites for its readers to try out, explains the primary benefits of an OIB account: signing up for different services, separating “bacn” from important email, and the automatic organization.

They finish with a note of the current availabilty for only Gmail, but list that we will soon be up and running for Yahoo!, AOL and Hotmail.

#OIBFreebie

One of my favorite features with OtherInbox is that it allows me to
sign up for EVERYTHING I want to with ease.  Like most people, I love a
good deal, and using OtherInbox proves there IS such a thing as a free
lunch.  Every week, I find amazing deals and coupons for something free
just waiting for me in my organized mailboxes.  I usually share these
finds with friends and family, but I want to do more.

Some of
our users have shared these amazing finds from their OIB on twitter,
and we do our best to retweet these when they come up.  However, I
think we can do better than that.  I would like to ask you all to join
us in using #OIBFreebie on twitter when you find something cool or free
in your OtherInbox.  Then people can just search for free deals, and we
can share our treasures with each other.

Feel free to share them any day of the week as
well!

A Quick & Easy Way To Fix Email Overload

OtherInbox Solves Inbox Mess For British Web Developer

By Jonathan Trikill

May 19, 2009

Jonathan, a successful web developer from England at the young age of 16, recently revisited OtherInbox after we were showcased on the BBC. What he found was a service that not only helped clean up his inbox, but was so well designed and useful that he bought a premium account right then and there!

Using his own private server for his email storage, Jonathan figured out a clever way of utilizing RSS feeds to create his OtherInbox-Gmail connection. A few hours (and 2,000+ emails) later, his entire inbox was organized and sorted for his perusal.

Jonathan praises the OIB staff for both the brilliant design as well as the useful feature of endless disposable addresses. In the end, he felt the premium features for OtherInbox were well worth the price. He eagerly looks forward to new features as OIB reaches its true potential!

“Webscape” Host Recommends OIB For Email Overload

May 8, 2009

By Kate Russell

The host of BBC’s popular technology program “Webscape” did a comprehensive feature on OtherInbox recently. In it, Kate gives a great explanation of the benefits of email: it allows us to not only stay in touch with friends, families and co-workers, but also with the many enjoyable online services we sign up for. The problem, she says, is seperating the two.

That’s where OtherInbox comes in. Kate gives an overview of the main features, explaining the Gmail integration, organization of different inboxes as well as the ability to create addresses on the fly.

OtherInbox kicks off this week’s installment, and runs til the 1:45 mark.

Steven sure seems impressed with our recently released Gmail compatibility. He raves about OtherInbox’s ability to clean up even the nastiest of Gmail inboxes, covering the basic features such as the daily summary and easy address creation.

In his own words, Steven describes how OIB works: “by moving your low priority email out of the way, your inbox will be easier to manage, all without skipping a beat…everything is automated for you right from the start.” (emphasis in the original!)
